Alexis Bonte is the founder and CEO of eRepublik Labs. eRepublik Labs is a gaming company aimed to create gaming worlds, publish games, and make them available via communities and web. Launched in November 2007, eRepublik.com is the first large online social strategy game which simulates real life. eRepublik.com won awards at LeWeb3 startup contest in 2007 and TechCrunch FOWA competition in 2008, while it was nominated for Webby Awards in 2009 and 2010. Before eRepublic, Alexis worked for lastminute.com for 6 years before it was acquired by Sabre for 1 billion dollars.
Ali Dağlı works as Digital Media Director GP Bullhound. With an experience of 11 years in digital media and its 9 years in investment banking, Ali has worked as Investment Banking GM at GCA Savvian, where he offered strategic consultancy services for leading companies on company’s online gaming and consumer Internet franchising. His specialty includes mergers and acquisitions which has reshaped the market, including Funzio/GREE and NewToy/Zynga and re-positioning including Federated Media and Zazzle. Before working for PCA Savvian, he made researches on equity capital for UBS Financial. Ali graduated from University of California, Berkeley Engineering Department and holds a Finance certificate. He also holds FINRA Series 7,63 and 79 security licenses.
Allen is Global Network Director at Endeavor, which is a NGO that supports developing countries for entrepreneurship. Based in San Francisco, Allen is working on getting more than 450 companies from Endeavor’s portfolio in contact with mentors and investors in the United States. He focuses on US based risk capital investors, local investment partners in Latin America, Middle East and Africa and highly influential startup owners. In the past 24 months, Endeavor provided more than 60 Endeavor companies with mentorship, support and meetings, creating more than 200 million dollars equity capital.
Allen is a Californian and travel enthusiast, and has been in more than 70 countries. Allen has been a Kauffmann Fellow and listed among “Top 99 Under 33 Young Foreign Policy Leaders”.
Amy Jain is cofounder of Baublebar, which sells both its own brand and designers’ and other brands’ accessories with approachable prices. Amy and her partner Daniella Yacobovsky had designed Baublebar while working on a college project, and then made this design operable. Before that, she worked for Centerview Partner in NYC. Amy graduated in 2004 from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
Anderson Thees is cofounder of Redpoint e.ventures. Before that he was CEO of Apontador, leading Brazil search and geolocation services website. Before Apontador, he served as Investment Manager for Naspers/MIH, making investments in leading companies including BuscaPe and Movile in Latin America. He started his career as a software developer in Brazil and Switzerland.
Eric Acher is founder and managing partner of Monashees Capital, a Brazil based company that makes investment in internet and education technologies companies for end-users in growth and pre-development phase.
Hanzade Doğan Boyner – Doğan Online
Hanzade Doğan Boyner, is currently CEO at Doğan Online, Doğan Gazetecilik and Aydın Doğan Foundation, and Vice President of Executive Board at Hürriyet Gazetecilik, Doğan Burda and Doğan Holding.
After graduating from London School of Economics with B.S. from Economics, she worked for Goldman Sachs International as financial analyst in Communications, Media and technology group in London. She got back to Turkey the year she received MBA degree from Columbia University and started Dogan Online, the largest internet holding in Turkey. In 2003, she became CEO of Doğan Gazetecilik, whose portfolio includes Posta, the newspaper with the largest circulation in Turkey. In 2006, she engaged actively in partnership agreement between Doğan Holding and OMV, leading oil and gas company in Middle East, for oil refinery, prospecting and production to build a strategic cooperation on its subsidiary Petrol Ofisi, and continued her work as CEO of the company.
Kemal, is business development and product management professional focused on Network Featured Consumer electronics, Digital Media and Paid TV. He is working at LG Electronics Innovation Development Group in located Silicon Valley. He has led for making LG Smart TV operable on Android and iOS. He has managed projects aimed to integrate second monitor experience for LG products with content partners including Netflix, Amazon and Vudu and mobile app developers. He has worked with Facebook, Twitter and many other startups to introduce social TV experience to the market. He has also worked on content search, suggestion engines, cloud based solutions and 3D content services.
Michael Read, comScore European Senior Vice President/GM, has been with comScore since 2004, when it opened its first office in Europe in London. Read manages England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia and Turkey office, and is responsible for all commercial operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. comScore operates in 43 countries, with 18 in Europe and offers mobile research services in North America and 5 EU countries.
Before comScore, Read worked for NetValue and MMXI Europe, and worked as England GM at BPA International, a US magazine auditing company, before switching to online user measurement. Michael also worked at England commercial television working for LWT, Meridian and TVS Broadcasting.
Nina is an editor at Wamda, a platform designed to empower entrepreneurs in the MENA region, publish stories of startups that affect the communities locally. Nina has studied psychology, economically decision making and learning neuroscience, and has been studying Arabic since 2009.
