Last September, we profiled German startup Comatch, which connects companies with freelance consultants and industry experts. Now, we learn that the company has pulled in 4 million Euro in a Series A round, which includes participation by Acton Capital Partners, as well as current investors Atlantic Labs and b-to-v Partners.
The Berlin-based startup, which maintains 15 employees in its main office, is already becoming established in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, but they have broader ambitions and that they intend to use the funding to support further internationalization. To that end, they currently support versions of their website in English, German, Dutch, Danish, and Swedish, as well as provides sales teams that cater to the Benelux and Scandinavian regions.
In addition to the funding news, we now learn that the startup is working with more than 850 consultants and that they have placed more than 120 consultancy projects. What is interesting, though, is that they have revealed that 40% of consultant applications are denied, a figure that they offer as a testament to their stringent standards and the high level of quality that their freelancers can provide to businesses.
