Polish investor MCI Management has announced that they have backed Ganymede, a Polish company that develops online casino casino, with an “eight-figure” sum (in Zloty). While we are not given the total figure of the investment, it is valued at a minimum of $2.5 million, based on current exchange rates.
MCI says that this latest funding will be used to expand Ganymede’s game portfolio, as well as “fuel user acquisition.” More specifically, the company intends to increase its focus on mobile, develop new products, and to boost their global marketing efforts.
Ganymede, which first appeared on the market back in 2004, claims “hundreds of thousands” of users and reports that they brought in an average of 50K registrations daily in 2014. But, the company has global aspirations and Ganymede CEO Maciej Mroz says that they intend to expand their total number of staff by at least 50 and to possibly open a new office in London or San Francisco.
In addition to Ganymede, MCI Management has previously entered the online-gaming market with investment in Prague-based Geewa.
