inploid.com receives investment from Galata Business Angels

inploid became popular when it received investment from Dragons Den Turkey and got listed in Wired 100 list; and now it receives investment and mentorship support from Galata İş Melekleri (Galata Business Angels).

inploid, the knowledge and  experience sharing website included new features in April, and we have learned that it received 300.000 lira worth investment from Galata Business Angels for 30 percent.

This makes inploid’s valuation reach 1 million lira, while founders Serkan and Hakan Köse’s shares became 17.5 for each, and 35 in total. And first investor Nevzat Aydın holds 12.5 percent share now.

Turkish E-Commerce grows by 40 percent compared to last year’s Q2

E-Commerce industry in Turkey continues to grow, in parallel with expectations. The Interbank Card Center (BKM) figures for 2012 Q2 show that the industry is approaching end year’s goals fast.

BKM data reveal that the volume of transaction in ecommerce for 2012 Q2 has been 7.3 billion lira. Nearly 36 million transactions took place in that period, while achieving 40.5 percent growth compared to the same period in 2011. A growth of 450 million lira took place compared to Q1 in 2012.

In the Q1 of 2012, ecommerce industry created a volume of 6.9 billion TL, with 37 million 434 thousand transactions.

Mackolik Internet Services majority shares sold to Perform

Perform Group plc, the global leader in digital sports content and marketing, has acquired 51 percent of Mackolik İnternet Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş., which owns 10 sports websites, including two of the leading Turkish sports websites Mackolik.com and Sahadan.com. With this acquisition, Mackolik.com‘s total valuation was specified as 80 million lira.

Perform Group pls has paid 40.8 million lira for 51 percent shares, in cash. It has been stated that the company will acquire the remaining 49 percent shares in March, 2016.

Perform Group had announced that it aimed to enter into global growing markets during its IPO. Turkey is one of the most fast growing Internet markets in Europe.

Ideasoft makes minority shares available for major partners

There has been a new investment in Turkish etrading industry, but for software this time. IdeaSoft, meeting small businesses with etrading by its etrading software, has sold its minority shares.

Ideasoft, started by Seyhun Özkara, Fatih Çalışkan and Kerem Kaya in 2005, is planning to go international with the support of this investment. The startup opened the doors of etrading for more than 4000 companies in Turkey so far, and its software solutions have been used by many large and small organizations.

Ideasoft made partnership first with ÇİT Yatırım A.Ş. and Projectz. After the contract between parties that have cooperating for some time, minority shares of Ideasoft changed hands.
