Belgian startup SurveyAnyplace is hardly the first company to develop a platform that allows people to quickly and easily create polls and surveys, but they have managed to carve out a nice bit of traction within the market and so we have decided to take a look at what they are offering.
The basic idea behind this service will likely be familiar to anyone who has spent much time online, as they are offering a tool that enables you to create a widget with incentives for respondents, to collect data through mobile quizzes (which display answers immediately), and create surveys that display various end-screens, depending on the outcome. What I like about this platform is that they allow users to introduce jumps into the survey, making it so that certain questions are skipped if there is a satisfactory response to a particular question. And, as it is 2016, many people access the internet on their laptops and mobile devices, which is why SurveyAnyplace allows its users to create surveys that can be completed across platforms, even offline, if necessary.
In terms of monetization, they offer several plans, starting at free (20 respondents per month), and then jumping to $29/month and $49/month or more, depending on the number of responses expected and features required.
The startup, which launched in 2012, informed that they have about 1,200 users (across all payment plans) and that they are ready to begin scaling up their business.
Unlike a number of startups that have been around this long, they do not have any external investors, as they tell me that the company’s 2 co-founders were able to fund the project from the start and that they are self-sufficient. One of the ways in which they have been able to grow has been by staying at KBC Suitart It, which has provided them with access to legal counsel and workspace.
