London-based Lodgeo, which aggregates and compares prices for hotel rooms, announces that they have picked up £2 million ($3.25 million) new funding from Javest Investment Fund and three angel investors who prefer to remain anonymous, according to a press release from the company.
The service, which launched yesterday, was founded by Ines Djelassi, who previously founded Hotel Solutions Direct back in 2001. With the new funding, the company says that they will continue to develop their core service, while also launching the next phase of development and marketing the brand internationally.
Lodgeo, which also offers an iOS app (and an Android version in the near future), aims to help prospective travelers to find and compare prices on hotel rooms and to make a reservation on the same page. Lodgeo claims that it is the first service to allow customers to not only find the lowest price on hotel rooms, but to also book within the same page.
