Startupbootcamp starts collecting applications for new, Barcelona-based IoT program

barcelona-businessEurope’s largest and proudest startup accelerator Startupbootcamp has launched a Barcelona-based program with a special focus on Internet of Things and smart data. The applications are now open to apply for the 3-month program led by Angel Garcia, Aldo de Jong and Marcos Cuevas.

The conditions are pretty much the same with Startupbootcamp’s other accelerator programs, with no restrictions on the nationality of the applicants as long as they are ready to move to Barcelona for a period of 3-4 months to develop their ideas into a promising business and prepare for the subsequent pitching events.

The program aims to produce world class startups from Europe that build disruptive solutions with connected devices and the immense associated data these machines create.

Each selected team will receive €15,000 cash, office space for 3 months that may be prolonged for another 3, and tons of valuable partner services in exchange of 8% equity in the company. The mentors of the program include Claro Partners, Intel, Yahoo, Cisco, Telefonica, Facebook and Oracle.

Following 3 months of acceleration the 10 teams are invited to present their companies to 400+ investors, mentors, and partners during Demo Day but before some of the teams will have the chance to present at 4YFN event at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Pitch preparation includes hands-on guidance from pitch coaches and investors, and leads into 3 months of fundraising support.
