Medical booking platform DocPlanner has announced the acquisition of its Turkish counterpart Eniyihekim for an undisclosed amount. The Warsaw headquartered company claims the dominant position in the European market, increasing its monthly visitors by 1.5 million to 6 million with the takeover.
The team behind Turkey’s main doctor appointment and rating platform will be joining DocPlanner, growing it to over 100 people based in 3 counties. As a part of the deal, DocPlanner will invest capital and expertise in Eniyihekim’s sales and customer care units, and optimise its mobile app and reach.
The takeover is a significant step towards DocPlanner’s goal of becoming the indisputable leader in Europe for finding and booking appointments with medical and dental professionals. Its a market with approximately six billion medical appointments made annually. And DocPlanner is backed by Point Nine Capital, Piton Capital and RTAventures, receiving a total of approximately $4 million in two funding rounds to date.

Launched in 2012 and available in 69 Turkish cities, Eniyihekim attracts over 1.5 million unique users per month and hosts listings of close to 150,000 health specialists. Eniyihekim will retain its name and branding post acquisition.
Headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, DocPlanner has expanded to 25 countries globally since launching in 2012, operating through country websites such as Znanylekarz.pl in Poland, Docplanner.ru in Russia, and Znamylekar.cz in the Czech Republic.
