Webtrekk-logoBerlin-based web analytics company Webtrekk has secured €25 million funding today from German Private Equity GmbH (DPE) of Munich. First tranche of the capital will amount to 15 million and be paid until the end of 2016. An additional, and conditional, 5-10 million will be extended subsequently depending on the performance and market demand.

Webtrekk CEO and founder Christian Sauer told The Wall Street Journal that the fresh funds will be used for the improvement and global marketing of their main product, the Digital Intelligence Suite.

The tech company who provides tools for analyzing web traffic mostly for marketing purposes, has now 110 employees located in Berlin headquarters as well as in Amsterdam, Beijing, Madrid, Milan, San Francisco and Wiesbaden, catering to a clientele from 25 countries.

10-year old company who has grown to be a major rival of Google Analytics and Adobe ADBE particularly in Europe, had previously raised €1.5 million funding in two rounds by different investors. With the latest funding, DPE will have a ‘privileged share’ in the company.
