A brand-new Greece based scheme has got to the market a short while ago, with the aim of helping Internet entrepreneurs realizing their ideas. Openfund provides seed funding for entrepreneurs with new ideas as well as consultancy support with the help of its network.
The founders of Openfund had contacted to me too and asked if I could support them and help their entrepreneurs a consultant. They had informed me that they were willing to support Turkish Internet entrepreneurs, so I decided to accept their offer, since I believed that we could create a joint synergy in the Turkish market.
I am included in the council, which has Mike Butcher from TechCrunch, and consultants from companies such as Google, IBM, Accenture, PwC and Microsoft. I am sure entrepreneurs are concerned with the issue of funding most: Openfund provides a 4-month investment budget of 20-30 thousand Euros as well as offering various supports such as office and company foundation for start-ups.
The scheme will be calling for the first applications until September 30, 2009, and complete the evaluation and selection process October 1 to November 15, 2009. By December 1, 2009, it will have completed the seeding funding for the selected initiatives.
You can find the detailed information about the issue on Openfund website, or ask your questions in the comments part, so that the team can contact you.
